Club Activities
The club has a pool training session (and a pint!) every week
on Thursday evenings at 9:45p.m. at the Portmarnock Sports and Leisure Centre (PSLC).
Snorkelling takes place on weekends throughout the year in various locations including High Rock in Portmarnock, Loughshinney and Skerries.
The club’s dive season runs from March to October. Diving normally take place mid-week (evenings) and each weekend
on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Ireland’s Eye and Lambay Island are popular dive locations. A Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) is normally permanently berthed in Howth or Malahide to facilitate diving at these locations. Occasionally one-day dive trips further afield are organised.
Apart from diving in Dublin, the club organises trips for each holiday weekend as well as a ‘Club Week’ during the Summer.
Click here for details of club trips for the 2007 dive season. Occasionally additional trips are organised by club members where Dive Centre facilities are used. Mevagh Dive Centre in Carrigart, Co. Donegal and Aquaventures Dive Centre in Baltimore, Co. Cork were popular choices in 2006.
The club has also organised trips to locations as diverse as Norway, Egypt and Florida over the years.
The club has an active social scene and organises a number of
‘get togethers’ throughout the year in addition to the annual BBQ and Christms Party.
