Easter Weekend in Dingle

Dingle, Co. Kerry is the venue for this year’s Easter Weekend - April 5th - 9th (4 nights).  Some thirty divers and hangers-on will be travelling down.  Accommodation costs are €115 per person sharing.  Monies will be collected at the pool on Wednesday night - cheques should be made payable to PSAC.  Alternatively you can post payment to Leah - see Members Area for contact details.

Dive Notice

There will a dive on Sunday, April 1st…in St. John’s Point, Donegal.  Meet on the beach at 1230.  Contact Peter F before 1800 on Saturday if you are interested in going.  Hopefully this isn’t an April Fools joke.

End Of An Era

One of the last lightships marking hazards on the Irish coastline has been withdrawn from service by the Commissioners of Irish Lights.

The Coningbeg lightship, marking the rocks of the same name off Wexford’s Saltee Islands, is to be replaced by a “superbuoy” with a 14km radius light and several smaller navigational aids. (more…)
